CEC: The draw for the ranking of parties on the ballot will be held tomorrow

The Central Election Commission (CEC) will tomorrow hold the draw to determine the ranking of political entities on the ballot for the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo, which will be held on June 7, 2026.

The news was confirmed to RTK by CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi, who announced that the lottery process for assigning the ordinal numbers of political entities is scheduled to take place on May 16.

The day before, the CEC held its next meeting, where the participation in the elections of four of the five new political entities that had applied during the period May 2–10, 2026 was certified. These are three coalitions and one independent candidate.

The certified entities are: Vetëvendosje Movement, Vakat Coalition, United Ashkali, and independent candidate Esmir Kasi.

Meanwhile, the CEC has refused to certify two political entities, Složno Pobeđuemo (civic initiative) and SDA – Stranka Demokratske Akcije, as they failed to meet the legal criterion of 1000 signatures required for certification.

Following the latest decisions of the CEC, a total of 3 coalitions, 17 political parties and 1 independent candidate will participate in the June 7, 2026 elections.

The participating coalitions are: LVV, United Ashkali and Vakat Coalition.

While the participating political parties are: Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), KNRP, PSA, Za Slobodu Pravdu i Opstanak, Srpska Lista, Fjala, Progressive Movement of Roma of Kosovo, United Roma Party of Kosovo (PREBK), Socijaldemokratska Unija (SDU), Jedinstvena Goranska Partija, Kosova Demokratik Türk Partisi (KDTP), Nova Demokratska Stranka, Liberal Egyptian Party, New Democratic Initiative of Kosovo (IRDK) and PSD.

The independent candidate in these elections is Esmir Kasi.
