The veteran defender is in the final five months of his contract and, although he remains an important figure in the dressing room, there is no guarantee that he will receive an offer for a renewal.
Rudiger, who joined Real in 2022 from Chelsea, has been a good servant over the past four years, but injury problems in the last 12 months have limited his minutes.
If he fails to stay fit until the end of the season, it is likely that the management will decide to let him go, especially with plans to transfer two center backs in the summer.
If he leaves, a return to the Premier League is a real possibility.
Tottenham Hotspur are interested, while West Ham United and Crystal Palace have reportedly held initial talks with the player's representatives.
Currently, Real Madrid have Rudiger, Dean Huijsen, Raul Asencio, David Alaba and the injured Eder Militao as natural options in the center of defense.
Alaba is expected to leave at the end of the season, while Rudiger turns 33 next month, so it would not be a surprise if the club decides to renew the defense with younger players.
