The author of the NEWBORN monument, Fisnik Ismaili, has announced that the coloring of the obelisk for this year has been completed, also revealing the symbolism that the installation conveys in the next edition.
Through a post, Ismaili announced that this year's theme is represented by the words: "Nationhood, Endurance, Work, Bravery, Obligation, Resilience, New Beginnings."
According to him, this year's concept is dedicated to Kosovo and its journey towards freedom and state-building through the liberation war, as well as shared values with the United States of America, which he described as a key ally in supporting this freedom.

At the end of the message, he also emphasized the numerical symbolism "KOSOVA 18" and "USA 250", which is related to the respective anniversaries.
The NEWBORN Monument, located in front of the Palace of Youth and Sports in Pristina, is a typographic sculpture and a symbolic landmark commemorating the Declaration of Independence of Kosovo on February 17, 2008, which for five years remained the same appearance and was then repainted every year to adapt to different themes that highlight the situations and aspirations of Kosovar society.
Each new appearance of the NEWBORN monument has an artistic and social message, serving as a platform for reflection for citizens and visitors.
The monument has attracted international attention since its proclamation as part of the independence anniversary and continues to be one of the most visited and controversial cultural attractions in the Kosovo capital.
NEWBORN has won a total of seven international awards, including the world's highest award in the field of design, the "Golden Lion" in Cannes.
