Kosovo Police have announced that mosques have been broken into and money stolen in three villages in Kamenica, Shipashnica, Topanicë and Rogoqicë, Express writes.
In the village of Shipashnica, a person reported that through cameras, he noticed a person who entered the mosque building, broke the safe and took 300 euros.
The prosecutor has been notified of this case, Express reports.
"Village of Shipashnicë e Poshtme, Kamenicë 03.04.2026-NN. On 06.04.2026, the male Kosovar complainant reported that through the cameras, he noticed a person who had entered the mosque building and forcibly broke the safe from where he stole €300 in cash (metal coins). The prosecutor has been notified, the case is under investigation," the Police statement said.
Meanwhile, in the village of Topanicë, Kamenica, on April 6, the imam of the mosque reported that unknown persons had broken into the mosque's safe but had failed to take the money.
"Village Topanicë, Kamenicë 05.04.2026-NN. On 06.04.2026, the male Kosovar complainant - imam of the mosque, reported that unknown persons forcibly broke - damaged the mosque's safe, but did not manage to take anything. The prosecutor has been notified, the case is under investigation," the announcement states.
Meanwhile, in the village of Rogoqicë, a person tried to break into the mosque's safe, but without success. The prosecutor is also dealing with this case.
"Village Rogoqicë, Kamenicë 05.04.2026-NN. On 06.04.2026, the male Kosovo complainant - imam of the mosque, reported that through the cameras, he noticed that a person had entered the mosque building and attempted to break the safe with strong tools, but without success (he did not manage to break it, he only damaged it). The prosecutor has been notified, the case is under investigation," the Kosovo Police statement reads. /Express/
