Nutella is one of the world's most beloved products, widely used for breakfast or as a dessert. However, food experts warn that behind its "innocent" image lies a less healthy composition than you might think.
This chocolate and hazelnut spread, produced by Ferrero, contains over 50% sugar and a significant amount of fat, mainly from palm oil. This makes it more like a dessert than a health food.
Experts point out that a small serving (about a teaspoon) contains about 8.4 grams of sugar – about the same as a small doughnut. Given that it is recommended that adults consume no more than 30 grams of sugar per day, just two tablespoons of Nutella could exceed half of that limit.

Besides the sugar, the problem lies in the high calories and lack of fiber and protein, which do not keep you full for long. This can easily lead to overconsumption and weight gain.
However, specialists do not completely ban its consumption. According to them, Nutella can be part of a balanced diet if consumed in moderation and combined with more nutritious foods, such as wholemeal bread or yogurt.
As for alternatives, peanut butter is often considered healthier, as it contains more protein and less sugar. While other similar chocolate products usually have similar nutritional values to Nutella.
In conclusion, Nutella is not necessarily "bad", but should be seen as an occasional treat and not as a daily part of the diet. /GazetaExpress/
