The new film will be directed by renowned director Denis Villeneuve…

After months of speculation, Amazon and MGM executives have reportedly narrowed down the list of candidates for the new James Bond role to just three names: Jacob Elordi, Tom Holland, and Harris Dickinson.

According to Variety, the selection focuses on British actors under the age of 30, although Elordi, although Australian, remains in the running. The new film will be directed by renowned director Denis Villeneuve, who has called the project a great honor and a sacred responsibility, highlighting his love for the franchise since childhood, writes DailyMail.

Amazon took creative control of the franchise after a deal with previous producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. Now, new producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman are expected to decide the future direction of the legendary 007 agent.

Meanwhile, filming could be moved from London to Liverpool, due to upcoming filming restrictions in the capital. Experts believe the film could be released in late 2026 or 2027. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release, while it remains to be seen whether there will be a classic or modern approach to the new Bond chapter.

James Bond fans were convinced that young actor Patrick Gibson would be Daniel Craig's replacement in the iconic role of 007. This came after the launch of the new game officially approved by Amazon MGM Studios, "007: First Light", where Gibson is the voice of a 26-year-old James Bond, fresh out of the Royal Navy.

Speculation has increased online after the discovery of the first images from the game, where Bond appears in classic action with British Aston Martin cars, espionage scenes and characteristic humor, writes DailyMail.
