Former President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, has stated that the former leaders of the KLA are facing their final challenge, which they will succeed in.
Through a Facebook post, Jahjaga said that Kosovo will overcome this challenge against any attempt to tarnish it as a country, them as individuals, and the just and heroic war.
"The Republic of Kosovo has become a state thanks to the unwavering contribution of its citizens, as well as in covenant with our Western friends. The obligation of this covenant is to protect and preserve our pure struggle, as well as our right to be a state. Kosovo's leaders, who are currently in The Hague, have overcome even more difficult challenges. Unlike others in the region, they, believing in the justice and purity of the struggle for the country's freedom, never avoided facing international justice."
"This is the final challenge from which I am convinced that we will prevail against any attempt to tarnish us as a country, them as individuals, and our just and heroic struggle," she wrote.
