A true mother lets her child go because she wants the child to live. She does this in the name of sincere love for the child.
Noise and chaos everywhere. In this social and political chaos, which resembles a debauched party, where it is not known who eats and who pays, it is difficult to say anything new and intelligent. It seems that we are the society with the most unique, most complex problems that humanity has ever faced.
But is this true? We are not the society with the most unique problems in the world; they are solvable. What is unique about us is the political caste. A group of people, right and left, who have the same identifying essence: their personal and group interest. They have never had an interest in serving this people, in solving its problems. And, this may be our identifying and unique feature as a society.
Vetëvendosje has managed to take power with great sacrifices. But, when it took it, it used it only for its own interests, more precisely, for the promotion of only one person and a small group around him. Power has gone to their heads and they do not recognize rationality. Even though they have 51% of the decision-making power, this is not enough for them. They want more. They are no longer afraid of anything, except for one thing: the responsibility to govern well and fairly. Their fear is well-founded. In four years, they have understood what determines their inability to govern. But they have also understood that they are not in danger. They are facing an opposition that is also incompetent, unreformed. Therefore, the more crises, the longer their power will be.
The opposition's situation is much more serious. They do not understand something simple, they have lost the central elections several times in a row and do not know why, or do not want to know. They are completely paradoxical political formations, with old human structures and more contemporary political programs. They do not understand that elections are no longer won with the same people who have been riding on our intellect and emotions for 25 years. The slogans "freedom has a name" or "we are the party of institutionalists" no longer work. Many of them were educated in Western schools and, surprisingly, have not understood that there is a big difference between form and content. Neither slogans nor academic diplomas earned abroad work. Only rolling up our sleeves and facing the real problems of this people work. And this must be done with "new blood", with cultivated minds and with sincere dedication.
I don't understand why the opposition doesn't give up? Why doesn't it give Kurti a leader to his liking? What would change if we had a leader like Vjosa, when we know that Kurti actually has political power?
What if we go to new elections, what would be the offer of PDK, LDK, an offer that would make these people change their minds? With the same people? With the same slogans? It's hard to believe the change.
In this political impasse, the wisest move of the opposition would be to pave the way for Albin, to let him find a president to his taste. This is what they did with Vjosa, who herself accepted form instead of substance. She liked the big name (president), not service to the people. Four years may not be enough for a fundamental reform, but the opposition needs this time. A time that makes it come back to itself. Otherwise, with or without Vjosa, with or without Hashim, Albin would win the votes again. And you can imagine what awaits us: nothing new, an old crisis with a different “outfit”.
I want to end the editorial with the biblical story of two mothers fighting over a child and King Solomon's judgment. Not understanding who the child belongs to, the king decides to divide the child into two parts for both women. The real mother does not accept this and says: "Please do not divide it, give it to the other, let it live!". So, the real mother chooses to lose the child, but to save its life, because sincere love is sacrifice.
