Political analyst Visar Ymeri has commented on the formation of the new government, emphasizing the expansion of the cabinet and the inconsistency with Prime Minister Albin Kurti's electoral promises.

According to Ymer, the first thing that catches the eye is the large number of government members.

He stressed that this is not related to the need for greater oversight of ministries, but to Kurti's previous positions on a smaller number of ministries, which were related to two main aspects: increasing government efficiency and reducing opportunities for corruption.

"Vetëvendosje started from the principle that citizens need more social services, meaning more things that the government offers directly, but this does not mean increasing the number of ministers and paying more salaries," Ymeri said on "VV Show."

He explained that the new government consists of a total of 21 members, including the prime minister, and only one of them is without portfolio, specifically Fitim Damka, while all other ministers have assigned portfolios.

However, Ymeri assessed that some positive reorganizations have also been made in the government structure.

“I think some good reorganizations have been made,” he concluded.
