The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the acting Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Dimal Basha, and the Mayor of Shtime, Qemajl Aliu, visited the works on the Rance-Greicec road.
Kurti said that the movement of citizens, businesses, but also local and foreign tourists will be facilitated.
"The project will cost around 370 thousand euros, while the length of the road is 3.1 kilometers," the OPM announces.
Kurtii's pronunciation:
We are coming from Suhareka, from Mushtisht, where we were together with the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Dimal Basha, where we had a 1140-meter road segment there and now we have come here to the municipality of Shtime on this other 3.1-kilometer road segment, which, as the mayor of the municipality, Qemajl Aliu, said, will cost a total of nearly 370 thousand euros and will connect Rance with Greiçec, respectively, will connect Shtime with Suhareka.
We know that the nation's highway, the "Ibrahim Rugova" highway, which connects us with Albania, has left two municipalities somewhat isolated, and they are Suhareka and Shtime, and now with this road segment here, we are connecting Suhareka with Shtime, two municipalities, which have beautiful nature, cultural heritage, a working and patriotic population, and a large diaspora.
Therefore, this road segment will facilitate traffic for citizens, businesses, but also for local and foreign tourists.
With me are the future deputies of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, of the 11th legislature, Vigani, Krenarja and Naimi.
Thank you for the support you have given us and I appreciate this road, for which I ask the economic operator to develop the works with accelerated dynamics and to complete everything as soon as possible.
