In the framework of the implementation of the Tripartite Joint Declaration signed in 2025, a trilateral Kosovo-Albania-Croatia meeting was held today at the level of Directors of Defense and Armaments Policies.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Defense, this activity constitutes one of the actions within the framework of the implementation of the areas of cooperation agreed upon between the parties.
The Kosovo delegation was led by the Director of Defense Policies, Faruk Geci, and during the meeting, views were exchanged on opportunities for advancing cooperation in the field of defense capabilities, interaction between the defense industries of the signatory countries, as well as steps for further implementation of the Declaration.
"The declaration defines four main areas of further trilateral cooperation, which include promoting cooperation in the field of defense capabilities and the defense industry, increasing interoperability through education, training and joint exercises, addressing hybrid threats and strengthening resilience, as well as providing continued and full support for Euro-Atlantic integration," the ministry's announcement states.
It is further emphasized that the joint trilateral statement also confirmed the commitment to further strengthen trilateral cooperation in the field of security and defense between Croatia, Albania and Kosovo, with the aim of increasing security and stability in Southeast Europe.
"In this context, the importance of coordinated efforts to address new security challenges, hybrid threats and other risks that could undermine regional and international stability was emphasized," the announcement further states.
