Famous British singer Ed Sheeran has revealed in the latest episode of Louis Theroux's podcast that he has been forced to provide 24-hour protection for himself, his wife Cherry Seaborn and their two daughters due to serious threats to the family's safety.
As he explained, the decision was made after an attempt to force entry into his home in Suffolk, otherwise known as "Sheeranville".
"I have permanent protection at home, who takes care of the safety of me, my wife and children. Over the years, some strange situations have happened and I was simply forced to act," Sheeran said.
In the podcast, Sheeran also shared some interesting moments with his famous friends like Elton John, Dave, Stormzy and Eminem. He recalled a special episode with the legend Van Morrison, who invited him for breakfast at 6am, right after a night out with golfer Rory McIlroy.
"I was half awake and half drunk when they told me Van Morrison was waiting for me in the hotel lobby. Breakfast with him was a truly surreal experience," Sheeran said with a smile.
