An unexpected revelation has shed light on a family history that, according to claims, has left the famous singer Cher shocked.
Sources close to the matter say she recently learned of the existence of a 15-year-old niece, information that had allegedly been kept secret for more than a decade.
According to former model Kayti Edwards, during an emotional phone call last year, she told Cher that her daughter, Ever, is the result of a brief relationship that occurred in 2010 between her and the singer's son, Elijah Allman.
Edwards, who is also related to renowned actress Julie Andrews through family, claims that Elijah was aware of the child's existence and met the girl from time to time in secret, but without taking on a consistent parental role.
According to her, the situation became more sensitive in 2021, when Elijah had an overdose episode and confessed to his then-wife, Marieangela King, that he had an undisclosed child. After that moment, the matter began to circulate within the family circle, until, according to sources, Cher decided to seek direct clarification.
When presented with the information, her reaction was reportedly immediate and emotional.
"She had heard something before, but she wasn't sure if it was true," Edwards told The Sun.
