The Basic Public Prosecution Office in Skopje has submitted a proposal to extend the short-term detention measure for another 48 hours for Stojanče Jovanovski, the husband of Ivana Jovanovska, who, together with their daughter, fell from the sixth floor in Karpoš, Skopje.
The prosecution announced that the detention is continuing because it is acting on orders issued for the examination of three cell phones and other items, video recordings from several critical locations are being secured and analyzed, and all documentation for previous complaints and reports of domestic violence related to the suspect and the deceased woman is being secured.
Additionally, other actions are being taken that are important to prove the criminal offenses, the elements of which are currently being investigated.
Ivana and Katja Jovanovski died on Monday around 14 p.m. after falling from the sixth floor of the building they were living in. Stojançe Jovanovski is suspected of domestic violence and incitement to suicide.
