The KLA War Veterans Organization has decided not to be part of a "Working Group" of the Ministry of Defense, because as it says, this call "is more like an administrative "order" than an invitation for equal institutional cooperation."
OVL UÇK states that after their public reaction "for the real non-inclusion of categories emerging from the war in the Council for the commemoration of the UÇK Epic, today on 23.02.2026 at 10:37, that is, only after our reaction, the Ministry of Defense sent us an email for participation in a "Working Group".
Further, the reaction states that "with the Decision of 20.02.2026, the Government established the State Council without specifically appointing representatives of organizations emerging from the war, leaving only a general formulation for "one member"".
"This is not real representation, but formal and delayed," the reaction continues.
"The epic of the KLA, which is related to the sacrifice of the legendary commander Adem Jashari and the heroic fall in Prekaz, is not an administrative protocol activity, it is the moral and historical foundation of the state of Kosovo," the reaction further states.
