The Embassy of Macedonia in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has issued a notice informing citizens of the Republic of Macedonia in Bahrain that a bus will depart from Bahrain to Riyadh on Wednesday, from where they will return to the country on a special flight.
"We inform you that on Wednesday, March 11, at 06:00 in the morning, a Flynas bus will depart from Bahrain (Manama) to Riyadh - King Khaled International Airport, from where you will return to our country on a special flight organized by the Government of Macedonia," the announcement states.
The departure point from Manama/Bahrain - the meeting point - the bus departure point, is stated in the Embassy's announcement on Facebook.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timço Mucunski informed that a coordinated process of evacuating citizens of the Republic of Macedonia from several Middle Eastern countries is underway, which, as he said, is expected to be finalized by the end of this week.
At a press conference at the Government, Mucunski emphasized that from the first moment of the escalation of the security crisis, a crisis mechanism has been created through the Ministry and diplomatic and consular missions.
"From the first moment of the escalation of the security crisis in the Middle East, the Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade created a permanent crisis mechanism. By establishing a crisis headquarters and diplomatic and consular missions, we were in 24-hour communication with Macedonian citizens located in the affected areas, with a clear goal - their safe, timely and organized evacuation," said Mucunski.
He added that this is the third complex operation of this scale in the last 12 months.
