A building caught fire this Tuesday afternoon in Tirana, opposite the "Mother Teresa" hospital.
The flames engulfed the entire building, burning it down within minutes, as residents rushed to evacuate. The footage showed residents, including the elderly, burning to the ground.
Several firefighting forces are at the scene, but the circumstances of how the fire broke out, which burned the entire exterior facade of the apartment, remain unclear.
Fortunately, there are no reports of injuries so far, but there has been considerable material damage. The Minister of Interior, Besfort Lamallari, is at the scene.
As can be seen from the footage, firefighters have arrived at the scene to bring the flames under control. They have also used ladders to approach the balconies of the building, throwing water and trying to extinguish the fire.
