Rahaman Ali, the younger brother of boxing legend Muhammad Ali, has died at the age of 82.
The news was confirmed by the Muhammad Ali Center, which announced that Rahaman died on Friday, August 1, while the cause of death has not been announced.
Known as his brother's biggest supporter throughout his career, Rahaman followed in Ali's footsteps in the ring, developing a modest boxing career with 14 wins from 18 bouts. After retirement, he remained close to Muhammad Ali, traveling with him and helping with his training.
Hana and Laila Ali, Muhammad's daughters, remembered Rahaman with touching words, describing him as a gentle soul with a big heart, who never sought attention but lived for his family.
