The new Chairman of the Alliance, Ardian Gjini, has been elected, following a vote held within the framework of the proceedings of the party's 10th Electoral Assembly.
According to the Alliance's press release, after the conclusion of the solemn part of the Assembly, the delegates voted to elect the new party leader, where out of 461 delegates who participated in the election process, 453 voted for Gjini, 2 against, 1 abstained, while 5 votes were invalid.
Following the proceedings, the delegates also approved statutory changes, including changing the party's name from "Alliance for the Future of Kosovo" to "Alliance".
The Assembly also elected the Honorary Chairman of the party, where Ramush Haradinaj will hold this position, and the composition of the Honorary Council was approved.
The delegates also elected the 106-member General Council. According to the communiqué, this composition will also include the new Presidency after its constitution, as well as three representatives from the diaspora who received the most votes in the Assembly.
The Alliance announced that with this Assembly, the internal electoral process, which began on February 12, has been successfully concluded, describing it as evidence of the organization, unity and commitment of the party structures at every level.
In the end, the Alliance thanked the structures, delegates and members for the contribution given during the process, wishing success to the new president, Ardian Gjini, and all those elected in their new responsibilities, in order to strengthen the Alliance and its commitment to Kosovo.
