Jakup Krasniqi's lawyer, Aidan Ellis, is presenting closing arguments in the grand trial against Thaçi and others.
"The commission of crimes by members of the military police is not evidence, in our opinion, that Mr. Krasniqi played a role in this regulation, and that this role had a significant contribution to the commission of the crimes," Ellis said.
On the other hand, the lawyer said that the Specialized Prosecution, in the final file, according to him, wrongly tries to connect Krasniqi's presence at several alleged crime scenes with the crimes committed.
"Without providing a single testimony, or a single piece of evidence, whether his presence contributed in any way to the commission of the crimes," he added.
