The Trump Organization has entered the mobile phone market, introducing a new communications service called Trump Mobile and a $499 smartphone called the T1 on Monday.
According to Reuters, the announcement was made by the company itself at Trump Tower in Manhattan, as part of an effort to attract conservative consumers looking for an alternative to major mobile service providers.
It is announced that Trump Mobile will offer a monthly plan of $47.45, with unlimited talk, text and internet, as well as additional services such as roadside assistance and "health and pharmaceutical benefits."
Meanwhile, the T1 phone, which is expected to be released in September, has a gold-colored metal casing and is engraved with the American flag, conveying patriotic messages and displaying the well-known slogan "Make America Great Again" on the product page screen.
"The 47 Plan" and its price are direct references to Donald Trump, currently the 47th president of the United States.
Trump Mobile claims to offer “the same coverage as the top 3 mobile service providers” in the US and is supported by a customer center located in the US.
In other data, it is learned that the T1 phone operates on the Android 15 system and features a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen, 16 MP selfie camera, 50 MP main camera, 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal memory.
According to CNBC, the bottom of the website states that the products and services are not designed, manufactured or distributed directly by the Trump Organization, but are part of a licensing agreement.
