Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transportation, Aleksandar Nikolloski, held working meetings at the State Department, where the strategic partnership between Macedonia and the US was discussed, with particular emphasis on political and economic ties.
At the meeting with Daniel Louton, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe, the strong partnership between the two countries was emphasized, based on mutual support and shared commitment to democratic values, as well as to creating better prospects for economic and trade cooperation, the Ministry of Transport announced.
"Today at the State Department, I held several high-level meetings, in which we discussed the relations between our two countries. The United States is North Macedonia's number one strategic partner, a country that supports Macedonia the most, and we discussed our joint economic and political cooperation. Among other things, I also met with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe, Daniel Lawton. During the meeting, we discussed the deepening of political and economic ties between the two countries, as well as the strategic partnership we share, cooperation in NATO in these challenging times, and the joint operations we are leading," Deputy Prime Minister Nikolovski stated after the meetings at the State Department.
