The Executive Committee (EC) of the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK) held its next meeting under the leadership of President Agim Ademi, where the main focus was on the progress of the competitions and developments at the end of this football edition.
In the overall analysis, the EC assessed that competitions at all levels are taking place with high intensity and rivalry. In particular, the Super League was described as one of the most competitive seasons in recent years, where the race for participation in Europe and the fight for survival remain completely open.
The First League is also characterized by a high level of rivalry, with several traditional teams competing strongly for promotion to the elite and for a playoff position.
Due to the importance of decisive matches and the lack of VAR in all stadiums, the possibility of certain matches being played at different times was discussed, with the aim of increasing fairness and transparency at the end of the season.
In this regard, the FFK's maximum commitment to engaging the best referees and officials in the remaining matches was emphasized, so that the competition can be concluded in the most orderly and correct manner possible.
The Executive Committee also praised the significant progress of the local championship, citing the improvement of infrastructure, health insurance for footballers and the economic growth of the clubs.
According to this institution, the integrity of the competition has not been violated, despite some isolated rumors of match manipulation, while a call was made for any allegations based on facts to be presented to the relevant bodies.
In order to increase quality, the FFK announced higher criteria for Super League clubs, both in terms of organization and infrastructure. At the same time, the process of evaluating and categorizing stadiums by a FIFA expert has begun.
In addition to elite competitions, special importance was also given to the development of girls' football and young age groups.
The need to reformat the girls' competitions to increase competition was emphasized, while from the next edition it is expected that Super League clubs will also have girls' teams, in accordance with UEFA requirements.
Meanwhile, the U19 Super League was considered a key platform for developing talents and promoting them on the international stage, especially through the UEFA Youth League and the growing interest of European scouts.
The meeting also addressed other issues such as infrastructure, investments in stadiums, lighting projects and improving conditions for fans, as well as developments in national teams.
Regarding the FFK National Camp, it was announced that the main stadium is in the process of providing seating equipment, with a capacity of 16,800 seats.
Finally, the EC confirmed its continued commitment to the sustainable development of football in Kosovo, with particular emphasis on maintaining integrity and increasing competition in competitions./Express newspaper/
