A delegation of the Macedonian Army, led by the Chief of the Army General Staff, Major General Sasko Lafçiski, concluded its multi-day working visit to the US Armed Forces with meetings with senior representatives of the US Armed Forces (FA) at the Pentagon, Washington, reports Gazeta Express.
"Yesterday, General Lafchiski met with the Chief of Staff of the US Army, General Randy George, in which the high level of trust and cooperation between the two armies was confirmed. The meeting shared the experiences of the US Army in conducting modern conflicts, including the development of new capabilities, primarily in confronting threats from drones and unmanned systems. In addition, the strategic importance of the Krivolak military training range and the possibilities for its development were discussed, in order to increase the capacities for conducting training and exercises," the announcement says.
As part of the visit, General Lafchiski also met with the US Army G-8 Chief, Lieutenant General Peter Benhoff, and representatives of the US Directorate for Defense Cooperation. During the meetings, processes related to the equipping and modernization of the Army were discussed.
General Lafčiski's meetings in Washington yesterday were preceded by a series of important activities, including a meeting with the Deputy Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, General Christopher Mahoney, participation in the ceremonial ceremony on the occasion of the transfer of duty of the Commander of the Vermont National Guard (GN), and a meeting with the new Commander of the Vermont GN, Major General Henry Harder.
The working visit of the Macedonian delegation is a confirmation of the ongoing cooperation between the Macedonian Army and the United States Armed Forces.
