Tonight at around 18:25, on "Ulqini" street in South Mitrovica, a traffic accident occurred where a car hit a pedestrian aged about 76.
Avni Zahiti, spokesperson for the Mitrovica Regional Police, told Gazeta Express that "the injured person has been sent for medical treatment, while the police are conducting investigative procedures regarding the accident."
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for Mitrovica Hospital, Shpend Fazliu, told Gazeta Express that "at 18:40, as a result of injuries, an elderly man (1950) was brought to the Emergency Service of Mitrovica Hospital, who is currently continuing treatment and the necessary resuscitation measures have been taken by the team of doctors and nurses. A radiological examination of the Computed Tomography (CT) of the head is now being performed, to determine the condition of the head."
Fazliu added that "after CT examinations, injuries to the thorax were found and the case was referred for treatment to the Thoracic Surgery Clinic at QKUK." /Express
