On 20.04.2026, at around 12:20, the Municipal Family Medicine Center (MFC) in Suhareka reported that a 48-year-old male (BH) from the village of Mushtisht was brought in without signs of life, confirmed to Express by the police spokesman for the Prizren region, Shaqir Bytyqi.
He said that according to the attending physician, it is suspected that death occurred as a result of airway obstruction by food. "At 12:50, death was confirmed," Bytyqi confirmed.
According to initial reports, the victim was eating at his home when his condition deteriorated and he lost consciousness.
"The family members tried to give him first aid and sent him to the QKMF," said Bytyqi.
By order of the prosecutor, the body was sent to the IML for an autopsy.
The case is under investigation.
