The person aged around 40 who was injured tonight at around 18:00 on the Gjilan-Kamenica road, near a gas station, is undergoing surgery at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCK).
Gazeta Express has contacted the director of the UCCK Emergency Clinic, Naser Syla, who said that the injured man has been taken to the operating room for surgery.
"The injured person is in serious but stable condition. He is in the operating room, being operated on by the Vascular Surgery and Orthopedics teams... I will continue the treatment," Director Syla told Gazeta Express.
Regarding the case, Ismet Hashani, spokesperson for the Gjilan Police, told Gazeta Express that according to initial information, it is suspected that two moving vehicles were involved in the incident.
"As a result of the incident, one person has sought medical assistance at the Gjilan Regional Hospital, while they are being treated by health authorities," said Hashani.
He added that "police units immediately went to the scene, where during the examination, material evidence related to the case was found and seized."
"The Kosovo Police, in coordination with the State Prosecutor, is taking the necessary investigative actions and is searching for suspects in this case," he concluded.
