Police in Albania have announced that a citizen who was internationally wanted and sentenced to 20 years in prison for international drug trafficking has been arrested.
This is Alija Arslan, 34 years old, a resident of Kicevo, North Macedonia.
He was internationally wanted by Interpol Bern/Switzerland, pursuant to an order issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Aargau.
The announcement states that Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Bern/Switzerland, will continue actions for his extradition to Switzerland.

An internationally wanted citizen, sentenced to 20 years in prison for international drug trafficking, is arrested at the entrance to Albania.
Following increased controls to prevent and combat illegality, as well as to apprehend citizens wanted nationally and internationally, the Border Police services at the Qafë Thanë Border Crossing Point stopped and arrested at the entrance to Albanian territory the citizen:

From the verifications carried out in cooperation with Interpol Tirana, it resulted that this citizen was internationally wanted by Interpol Bern/Switzerland, pursuant to an order issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Aargau.
The 34-year-old has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for criminal offenses related to international drug trafficking, as provided for by Article 19 of the Act on Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances of the Swiss Criminal Code.
Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Bern/Switzerland, continues actions for his extradition to Switzerland.
