Former President Hashim Thaçi's defense attorney, Croatian Luka Misetic, in a response to Gazeta Express, said that he has nothing to say regarding the claims of the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, that Thaçi continues to give political instructions on developments in Kosovo, writes Gazeta Express.
According to Kurti, when PDK officials go to The Hague to visit Thaçi and Veseli, they also receive instructions there on how they should act.
However, lawyer Misetic said that he has no comment regarding Kurti's statements.
"Thank you for your email. I have no comment," lawyer Luka Misetic told Gazeta Express.
Gazeta Express yesterday also requested a position from the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in The Hague regarding this claim by the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, but spokesman Christopher Bennett also said that they have nothing to say.
"The Specialized Prosecutor's Office has no comment," Bennett told Express.
The leader of the LVV, Albin Kurti, made the statements against Thaçi and Veseli on Wednesday in an interview for Tëvë1, speaking about the PDK.
According to Kurti, the party led by Memli Krasniqi has four or five chairmen, and they are still consulting with their leaders in The Hague.
"PDK is not reformed. There are 4 or 5 chairmen in the Democratic Party of Kosovo. We are talking about PDK, because I dealt with LDK a little, now I am moving on to PDK a little, for your pleasure. Let me continue my thought. The beginning of the thought when it is expected is no longer the same. So, where did I leave off, PDK that has 4-5 chairmen, I don't know if it has 4 or 5, but I am sure that it does not have 3, nor 2, nor 1. PDK, I know from experience, is not a party, it is a joint-stock company with unlimited irresponsibility. You don't deal with it there because you have spoken to one person, that is why Enver Hoxhaj said something completely different, what Ramiz Lladrovci said about Sami Lushtaku, the parent of an MP, so do you understand, and there are two former chairmen in The Hague, whom they should visit often for political instructions", Kurti declared on Tëvë1.
Regarding Kurti's accusations against the Democratic Party of Kosovo, numerous party officials have reacted, including the party's leader Memli Krasniqi. The KLA War Veterans Organization has also reacted, condemning such a statement.
"We, OVL, SHIL and SHFD of the KLA, strongly condemn the latest statement by former Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who claims that former KLA leaders, Hashim Thaçi and Kadri Veseli, are giving "political instructions from prison in The Hague," the OVL-KLA response states. /GazetaExpress/
