The coach of the Albanian national team, Sylvinho, has spoken openly about the case of defender Adrian Bajrami, who has decided to represent Switzerland and not Albania.
In the last press conference, the Brazilian showed how the communication went.
"We have completed the large list of players since August 17 and during these two weeks we have not had any response from the clubs of each player. After the press conference on the 29th, when we also published the list, there was no change. A day later, I was called by the Federation and told that Adrian Bajrami has chosen to represent the Swiss National Team," said Sylvinho.
The Brazilian coach also revealed that he has spoken personally with the player.
"I spoke with him on the phone for about 30 minutes. I don't have much to say, this is a situation that happens everywhere in the world. Even during my time in the Brazilian national team, there were two or three players who were between Brazil and Italy. That's the truth," he stressed.
In the end, Sylvinho did not hide his respect for Bajram's choice, wishing him success in the future:
