The Albanian national team drew for the second time in a row in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Albania was also stopped by Latvia – after Serbia – with the score 1-1.
After the match, Sylvinho also spoke, admitting that he made a mistake in his approach.
"Football is unforgiving, in the first half we made a lot of mistakes in the ball circulation. The objective of second place? If the theory, that is, the ones on paper, are not put on the field, even if we were a team like Germany or Brazil, we still wouldn't have been able to achieve the objective. But of course we went on the field for the victory," he initially said.
"A lot of mistakes in the first half, in the second half the team was pushing hard to score a goal. I emphasize that it is not the formation, but the approach of the players on the field of play. The approach was wrong, the first half was like that. We could have conceded a goal where we could have been at a disadvantage," added Sylvinho.
