One of the most well-known figures of the criminal world in the Balkans, Bosnian Nermin C., founder of the banned United Tribunes group in Germany, has been released in Bosnia and Herzegovina just a few weeks after being extradited from Switzerland.

As the newspaper "SonntagsBlick" reports, he was considered by the authorities to be one of the most dangerous organized crime figures in Europe and is accused of involvement in an international prostitution and human trafficking network.

Swiss investigators suspect that he had also lured a minor girl from Switzerland into prostitution, reports the Telegraph.

Nermin C. spent about three years and eight months in Swiss prisons, until on March 31, 2026, he was extradited to Bosnia and Herzegovina, following a request from the Bosnian authorities.

However, just a few weeks later, a court in Sarajevo decided to release him on bail.

He is not allowed to leave his residence and meet with certain people, but he has reappeared on social media, displaying luxury villas and sports cars, including a red Ferrari.

The article points out that there have long been concerns among investigators that Bosnian authorities might be treating Nermin C's criminal group leniently.

His brother, known as "Boki", who was considered the "world president" of United Tribunes, had been released earlier after just a year in prison in Sarajevo.

According to Swiss media, the brothers' network had managed to expand for years in the Balkans, despite international arrest warrants.
