The Kosovo Police Inspectorate has recommended to the Kosovo Police the suspension of four police officers in the regional police directorate in Gjilan.
This is due to the tragic event that occurred in Gjilan where three people were killed, while the suspects are on the run.
After the incident, Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla requested an investigation within the Police.
The Inspectorate's announcement states that they have recommended today to the Kosovo Police the suspension of four police officers.

The Kosovo Police Inspectorate has begun a preliminary investigation within which it will be investigated whether there was any omission or possible involvement of any member of the Kosovo Police in the criminal activity of the suspect wanted for the triple murder in Gjilan.
Based on legal authorizations and the importance of preserving the integrity of the investigation and avoiding any influence on witnesses or evidence, the Kosovo Police Inspectorate has today recommended to the Kosovo Police the suspension of four police officers of the Regional Police Directorate in Gjilan.
Based on the recommendation of the PIK, a police sergeant and an investigator from the regional investigation unit of the Regional Directorate in Gjilan, a police sergeant - chief of investigations at the Novo Brdo Police Station and a police officer engaged in the Rapid Reaction Unit, Gjilan Regional Police Directorate have been suspended.
The Kosovo Police Inspectorate, in coordination with the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution Office of Gjilan, is conducting preliminary criminal investigations against the above-mentioned individuals regarding suspicions of involvement in illegal activities with elements of a criminal offense.
The investigations are in the initial phase and include the collection of material evidence, taking statements, and other procedural actions.
