West Ham United striker Adama Traoré has been banned from weight training by coach Nuno Espirito Santo.
The 52-year-old, who joined the London club in September last year, said Traoré "carries a lot of weight".
The ban comes after a video posted by Traoré's teammate, Crysencio Summerville, in which he asks the Spaniard: "Why are you lying? Say you don't do weights in the gym."
In the video, Traoré is seen bench pressing 145 kg.
"It's unbelievable, it's genetics. But his genetics have been like this for a while and he should avoid the gym," Nuno said in a press conference ahead of the Premier League match against Fulham, one of Traoré's former clubs.
"I've told him to stay away from the gym. He will only do preventative work, but he won't lift weights," said the Portuguese coach.
Traoré joined the East London club in January, after previously working with Nuno at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He has yet to start a Premier League match for his new club.
"He brings us new energy and we try to improve every day," added Nuno.
"There were moments in the game, but in front of him there are two players in top form. He is patient enough to wait for his chance," he continued.
West Ham travel to Craven Cottage, in the relegation zone, two points behind Nottingham Forest and four points behind Tottenham Hotspur, both clubs Nuno has previously managed.
"We focus on ourselves," said the Portuguese coach.
"We didn't get a result in our match and that's what we need to focus on. It's very important for us," he concluded./Express newspaper/
