The Ulpiana Volleyball Club has completed its grand return to the Super League A, after an extraordinary and almost perfect season.
The team from Lipjan secured promotion to the elite by triumphing in the tie-breaker match against KV Prishtina with a score of 3:2, in a dramatic duel that lasted until the decisive set. With this victory, Ulpiana regains its place among the best, while the capital's team loses its status as an elite team.
After an impressive regular season, where they recorded 10 wins in 10 matches, Ulpiana had only one more obstacle ahead, overcoming it with character.
The match started better for the locals of KV Prishtina, who won the first set 25:20. But Ulpiana's reaction was immediate, equalizing the scores with a 22:25 victory in the second set.
In the third set, Prishtina regained the lead with a confident performance (25:16), moving closer to victory. However, everything changed in the fourth set, where Ulpiana showed extraordinary competitive spirit, overturning the score from 23:19 to 27:29 and taking the match to the deciding set.
In the fifth set, the psychological advantage was clearly on the side of the Lipjan team, who managed the pressure better and triumphed with a score of 12:15 to seal their return to Super League A.
After only one season in Super League B, Ulpiana returns strongly to the elite, proving that its country is among the best. On the other hand, KV Prishtina failed to maintain its status and will compete in Super League B next season.
