Yesterday, the Kosovo Police, namely the Task Force Unit-DRK South, after receiving information about a suspected warehouse in the city of Ferizaj, undertook operational and investigative actions which resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of smuggled goods.
Regarding the case, the relevant police units have identified the male Kosovar suspect, who is suspected of having used the suspected warehouse to store smuggled items, which are suspected of having been smuggled through illegal routes from North Macedonia to the Republic of Kosovo.
After obtaining the verbal order of the competent prosecutor, a search was conducted at the suspected location, where the following goods were seized during the search:
The approximate value of the goods is around €16.500, while the excise and customs duties are around €34.000. Regarding the case, after taking appropriate police action, the seized goods were processed to Kosovo Customs for further procedures.
