Slobodan Radenkovic pleads guilty to attack KFOR and Police members in Zvecan

The defendant, Slobodan Radenkovic, has pleaded guilty to the crimes of "Assault on an official" and "Participation in a crowd committing a criminal offense and hooliganism."

The accused has reached a plea agreement with the Special Prosecution Office.

According to the indictment, on 29.05.2023 from 06:00 in the morning until the evening hours, in the perimeter of the Zveçan Municipality building, the defendant, in complicity and coordination with other persons, is suspected of having actively participated in a group that exercised violence against members of the KFOR peacekeeping mission and the Kosovo Police.

Special Prosecutor Bekim Kodraliu said that the agreement with the defendant was reached without pressure.

"The SPRK stands by the agreement since it was reached in full compliance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code and before signing this agreement with the defendant Radenkovic, it was reached freely, without pressure and in continuous consultation with his defense attorney, who was present during the reaching of this agreement. The agreement consists of two criminal offenses, that of assault on an official person, committed in co-perpetration, as well as the criminal offense of participating in a crowd."

Prosecutor Kodraliu also indicated the sentence as reached according to the agreement.

"Regarding the criminal offense "Assault on an official person", we consider imposing a sentence of imprisonment for a period of 2 years, including the time spent in detention, from 14.01.2026, while for the other criminal offense, a sentence of 6 months should be imposed, with the possibility of substitution for a fine of 15 thousand euros, and the measure of detention will not be interrupted until the verdict becomes final."

The defendant's defense also said they stand by the agreement they reached with the Prosecution. They asked the Court to allow the defendant to pay the monetary amount in several installments over 2 years.

The accused also said that they stand by the agreement they reached with the Special Prosecution Office.

Judge Medie Bytyqi accepted the agreement between the Special Prosecution Office and the accused Radenkovic, for the admission of guilt.
