Skender Rexhepi - Zejd, leader of the People's Movement and MP, has harshly criticized the President of the Constitutional Court of North Macedonia for his recent statements about the use of email and mobile phones by citizens.
According to Rexhepi, “When the Constitutional Court abandons its role to protect the Constitution and enters the field of politics, even politics with a nationalist and anti-Albanian color, then the state ceases to be a state of law.”
The MP added that "Instead of providing legal arguments, the president of this institution violates the Constitution and abuses the right to use the Albanian language as the second official language in North Macedonia."
Rexhepi warned that the consequences of unjust decisions are long-term: “History has taught us that unjust decisions may last a short time, but their consequences last much longer.”
He also commented on the mayor's statement about using the horse as a "means of travel": "The mention of the horse was not ironic advice, it was more a reflection of the medieval mentality of this institution."
Rexhepi sees this situation as a warning about the decline of constitutional justice and the risk that the state will lose its standards of law.
