The Mayor of Prizren, Shaqir Totaj, has announced the achievement of a coalition for co-government with the Democratic League of Kosovo, describing this step as an important decision for the future of the city and for a more inclusive governance.
"The result of the first round of elections clearly showed the citizens' trust in continuing another mandate with good works and concrete deeds for Prizren," declared Totaj, emphasizing that the support shown in every neighborhood, in the city and in the village, is proof of the right path that was followed during the first mandate.
He added that the work for Prizren does not stop:
"We are aware that there is still much to do. That is precisely why we have unveiled a new development vision with major projects that modernize Prizren even further."
Totaj emphasized that his philosophy of governance is one of inclusiveness and cooperation, regardless of political beliefs.
"In life, I have followed the principle of unity and rapprochement with the aim of affirming the public good. I have worked with professionals of different political persuasions, but I have always followed the path of justice, equality and respect for the law."
Regarding the agreement with the LDK, Mayor Totaj stated that this coalition is a guarantee for more effective governance:
"I am happy to share the news of the achievement of a coalition for co-government with LDK. I am convinced that the new ideas and experience of this political force will serve Prizren even more."
Finally, Totaj thanked the chairman of the LDK branch in Prizren, Driton Selmanaj, for his cooperation and support in the runoff.
"This is an example of political maturity and placing the interests of citizens above party interests. Before Prizren and its citizens, all other interests remain in the background."
"Prizren, congratulations and good luck to us! Let's travel together +4 for Prizren of all and for all!" - concluded Mayor Shaqir Totaj.
