Crew members of a French cargo ship were injured after an attack in the Strait of Hormuz by Todd Symons and Lucas Lilieholm
A French shipping company said several crew members aboard one of its cargo ships were injured and the vessel was damaged after it was targeted in the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, CNN reported.
The CMA San Antonio was passing through the strait the day before and is believed to have been hit by a missile.
"The injured crew members have been evacuated and are receiving the necessary medical care," the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
"CMA CGM is closely monitoring the situation and remains fully engaged with the crew," it added.
The maritime agency responsible for this waterway, UKMTO, reported that a cargo ship had been hit by an "unknown projectile" on Tuesday, without mentioning the name of the vessel involved.
