In the initial session on Wednesday at the Basic Court in Pristina in the trial for the murder case in Aktash, the defendants Korab Gashi, Valdrin Ademi, Erd Marevci and Vesel Bunjaku pleaded not guilty to “Attempted Murder” and “Unlicensed Weapon Possession”, Bunjaku also to “Manipulation of Evidence”. While Robert Llumnica, Salih Sekiraqa and Fatos Abazi pleaded not guilty to “Aggravated Murder”, they pleaded guilty to “Unlicensed Weapon Possession”.

In this case, Korab Gashi, Valdrin Ademi, Robert Llumnica, Salih Sekiraqa, Fatos Abazi, Erd Marevci, Endrit Llapashtica, Dardan Marevci and Vesel Bunjaku are accused in connection with the murder of Premtim Gashi on September 1, 2024 in the Aktash neighborhood in Pristina, reports "Oath for Justice".

The defendants made their guilty plea after the indictment was considered read. Subsequently, the prosecutor of the case, Bashkim Zeqaj, considered that it was made voluntarily and in accordance with legal provisions, and proposed that the Court approve this admission of guilt.

Attorney Arlind Jupolli, defense attorney for the accused Robert Llumnica, said he supports his client's plea of guilty and proposed that the Court approve it. The same was stated by the defense attorneys for the accused Salih Sekiraqa and Fatos Abazi, as well as attorneys Naser Sopjani and Mentor Neziri.

Also, the accused Salih Sekiraqa said that he does not understand the indictment of the Prosecution, since he and his son have been repeatedly attacked, but that his minor son is not included in the indictment. He also said that the indictment states that he was attacked by unidentified persons, emphasizing that most of them are present in the courtroom.

The judge in the case, Fatime Dërmaku, informed the defendants and their defense attorneys that within 30 days they have the right to file a request to dismiss the indictment and challenge the evidence.

Previously, in this session, the procedure for the accused Dardan Marevci and Endrit Llapashtica was separated since they are at large, but the Court assessed that the conditions for a trial in absentia for them were not met.

Otherwise, the hearing of April 20, 2026 failed because the psychiatric expertise for the accused Valdrin Ademi had not been completed.

The Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina on February 12, 2026 filed an indictment against nine people: Korab Gashi, Valdrin Ademi, Robert Llumnica, Salih Sekiraqa, Fatos Abazi, Erd Marevci, Endrit Llapashtica, Dardan Marevci and Vesel Bunjaku, in connection with the murder of Premtim Gashi on September 1, 2024 in the Aktash neighborhood in Pristina.

According to the indictment, the case is related to an armed clash between two groups at the “From” bar, which resulted in the death of Premtim Gashi and the injury of several other people. The defendants are charged with several criminal offenses, including “Aggravated Murder”, “Aggravated Attempted Murder”, “Tampering with Evidence”, and “Unauthorized Possession, Control or Possession of Weapons”.

The motive for the attack, according to the indictment, is related to the earlier conflict on March 4, 2024, between Shkumbin Sekiraqa (son of Salih Sekiraqa) and Pajtim Gashi (brother of the now deceased Premtim), which had escalated the conflict between the two groups.
