A 2-month-old baby has arrived at the pediatrics department of the Korça regional hospital in very serious condition. Confidential sources from the police and the hospital say that the baby is currently in serious condition, and it is suspected that this condition is due to malnutrition.
The baby was born two months ago, premature (7 months). He was treated at the Korça hospital and then in Tirana, where he was reportedly discharged in good health, but after returning home he developed serious health problems.
According to the same sources, it is suspected that it was the mother who did not take care of the baby to breastfeed him, and this is suspected to be the main cause of the aggravated condition.
It is also suspected that the mother has mental health problems, but new details are expected to emerge in the future to determine whether the latter has shown signs of deterioration after giving birth to the child.
The police are in the hospital's pediatric ward, while doctors are doing their utmost to save the 2-month-old baby.
