Lawyer Urim Vokshi, who says he was defending one of the police officers suspected of "negligent homicide" of Agon Zejnullahu, has given a scandalous statement regarding the case of the young man's tragic death.
He in Dukagjin stated that "The victim did not die from the actions of police officers", also previously wrote a status on FB.
His full post, without any edits:
The scandal over how the police are being treated in the Lipjan case.
Why is no media outlet publishing the videos when the deceased had previously attacked dozens of citizens without any reason?
Why is there no reporting on the suspicion that he was under the influence of narcotics and that a quantity was found at the scene?
Why isn't it being reported that he attacked police officers beforehand?
Why isn't it being reported that after being attacked and the same person had entered a citizen's car, police officers waited for over 8 minutes for him to calm down and not cause problems?
Why isn't it being reported that he got out of the car again to attack them?
Why aren't the videos coming out where he stopped citizens' cars and opened the door violently, attacking them?
Why are cut, incomplete videos appearing in the media? Why all this rush to judge the police?
Let's give justice the space to handle the case without distorted media influence and pressure.
Yesterday, while I was still acting as a lawyer with one of the police officers in the case, giving a statement to the media, the news came out that a 48-hour detention had been ordered. So, the police had not yet finished their statement. They had not yet given you the opportunity to be heard.
Don't do this, it doesn't serve justice.
