Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is expected to end his holiday and return to England early following the tragic death of teammate Diogo Jota, according to a report.
The football world is in mourning after the news on Thursday that Jota and his brother were killed in a car accident. Their Lamborghini suffered a flat tire while overtaking on the A-52 motorway in Cernadilla, near Zamora, just 10 miles from the border with Portugal.
The vehicle reportedly overturned and then burst into flames. Rescue teams were unable to save them. Jota's brother, André Silva (26), was a footballer for Penafiel in the Portuguese second division.
Liverpool are expected to begin preparations for the new season on Tuesday, while Jota had driven to the United Kingdom after marrying his partner, Rute, on June 22 in Porto.
According to Yallakora in Egypt, Salah will return to England on Friday, following the bitter news.
According to Turkey Today, he has been on vacation in Bodrum (Turkey), while he has also been seen in Mombasa (Kenya) and Mykonos (Greece). He has shared some photos from the vacation on social media.
