The German Ambassador to Kosovo, Rainer Rudolph, visited German soldiers serving within KFOR, stationed at Camp Bondsteel, whose commitment he said contributes to peace and security.
According to the embassy's announcement, Rudolph was informed in detail about the operational capacities and technical equipment used during patrols and surveillance along Kosovo's borders.
He has been on the ground at the CBS observation point and has made stops in the main operational areas.
"From modern armored vehicles to advanced surveillance systems, the ambassador praised the professionalism and dedication of the troops in fulfilling KFOR's mandate," the statement said.
He appreciated the contribution of German soldiers serving in Kosovo and their role.
"German soldiers serving as part of the KFOR mission at Camp Bondsteel are part of Germany's contribution to this NATO-led mission in Kosovo. They play an important role in NATO's peacekeeping efforts in Kosovo, conducting patrols, training with partners and maintaining the capacity to react quickly if the security situation requires it," the announcement says.
