The coordinator of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Union for Integration, Rina Ajdari, reacted through a post to the government's budget cut for Corridors 8 and 10d, which was already in the voted budget for 2026, and we as a parliamentary group have submitted an amendment with which we have requested that the funds be increased from the 6,3 billion denars foreseen in the budget to 15 billion denars.
Increasing the budget to 15 billion denars would enable the acceleration of work and the creation of new jobs. This amendment was then rejected without any justification by the parliamentary majority.
Ajdari further adds that "It is not coincidental that over 50 workers were laid off at this stage of the works. It is clear that this is a matter of reducing funds because they have been reduced since the budget planning for 2026."
"Corridors 8 and 10d are very important strategic and infrastructural projects for the country, especially for the development of the north-western part and its connection with the Western Balkan countries as an inseparable part of the European Union. Therefore, the question arises: how can the implementation of Corridors 8 and 10d be a priority for the government when at the same time, in the 2026 budget, funds have been significantly reduced for these.
"These are the facts and rightly all these dilemmas are raised and the implementation of the project as a whole is called into question," writes MP Rina Ajdari.
