Real Madrid no longer see Eduardo Camavinga as a key part of the team's future - or even its present. The French midfielder joined from Stade Rennais for €31m four and a half years ago but has yet to convincingly establish himself as a regular first-team regular.
The France international has been in and out of the starting line-up since his second season at Madrid, struggling to find consistency - something he himself recently admitted. The 23-year-old has a contract until 2029, but for the first time Los Blancos are willing to listen to offers for him.
According to RadioMarca, Camavinga is no longer on the list of players considered "untransferable". The club is open to offers, but are asking for at least 50 million euros to allow him to leave. Madrid are considering signing a new midfielder in the summer and selling Camavinga could finance this operation, while at the Santiago Bernabéu they have been linked with names such as Rodri Hernández and Kees Smit.
Journalist Matteo Moretto adds that Real Madrid have already received some interest in the French midfielder. In the January transfer window, Liverpool FC were reported to be interested in him, while Saudi club Al-Ittihad Club have also expressed interest. It seems that Camavinga will have the opportunity to leave if he wants, but so far he has not shown any willingness to do so.
One of the main problems for Camavinga has been his fitness recently. Although he has not suffered many serious injuries, he has often been in and out of the lineup. This season he has played just 1,685 minutes in 31 appearances, and a lack of consistency may explain why he has failed to establish himself as a regular in the starting lineup.
