Serbian MP in the Kosovo Assembly, Nenaq Rašić, spoke to FrontOnline following the recent ruling of the Constitutional Court regarding the election of the Deputy Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly from the non-majority (Serb) community.
Rašić said that from what he has read of the decision, the right to propose the name of the Deputy Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly, after this decision, belongs to the Serb List, which has the largest number of deputies from this community in the Assembly.
"In this, with the decision that the Constitutional Court has made, it has given the exclusive right to the Serbian List, which in this case has the most deputies, and as far as I see it, it is conditioned or rather I should say given the right to the Serbian List," he said.
According to him, at this moment he does not see the possibility of him being a candidate for deputy speaker of the Kosovo Assembly from the Serbian community.
"I don't see the possibility at this moment, based on this decision, (and take my chances because I may not have read it correctly) but as far as I understand, no one other than the Serbian List is given the right to nominate its candidate. So if I understand correctly, I have no chance of running," Rasic told Front Online.
