Former Chief Inspector of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, Burim Ramadani, has reacted after the dissolution of the Kosovo Assembly, calling for a united front to restore democracy in the country.

Through a post, Ramadani described the current situation as a serious degradation of democracy and the state.

"This situation has no more accurate description than the ruthless degradation of democracy and our state. It is an extreme damage to our dream of a democratic state and to our love for Kosovo," he wrote.

He also criticized the behavior of politicians during these days, saying that the anniversary of the Kosovo Liberation Army's epic has shown the true face of politics.

"In the days of the KLA Epic, they showed their true face that everything is related to power and their chairs. Worse than any pessimist could have imagined," Ramadani said.

He called for civic engagement, emphasizing that further degradation of institutions should not be allowed.

"We must all be active, courageous and dedicated. We must not allow our Kosovo to be scribbled like this. We must not allow our state to remain like this. We must not allow our institutions to crumble like this," he stressed.

Ramadani emphasized that Kosovo belongs to its citizens and not to politicians.

"We, the citizens of Kosovo, are here and we must not become deaf. Kosovo is not an orphan, it belongs to its people. Not to politicians!", Ramadani added.
