Prime Minister Edi Rama, during the National Appreciation Ceremony for the fire operations, has issued a strong warning to prosecutors and judges who, according to him, harm the public interest and support individuals involved in criminal acts, such as arsonists and abusers of public property. Rama stressed that the government will not allow any kind of tolerance for those who attack the state and the public interest, warning that they will bear full responsibility for their actions.
"We will leave no stone unturned in the legal bed of this republic to hold to public and institutional responsibility any prosecutor or judge who will openly attack the state and the public interest in the process of arson, occupation or devouring of the public goods and assets of this country."
"The chronicle of this summer's fires will continue to be told at length, about a thousand forces remain ready against the monster of flames that grow every year, feeding the Mediterranean with temperatures in continuous historical breakthroughs that are sprouting from the hands of criminal minds, who unfortunately rarely find allies in the ranks of the judges of this country. While thousands of people in uniform pour their energies without sparing in a dedication that goes to the point of selflessness, in a grueling fight with the fires. And thousands of hectares are struggling from the mouth of the flames, some people whose names are unknown and whose faces are not recognized with zero human sensitivity, and zero moral integrity with a tuft, in air conditioning covered with the black veil of the judge, mock the sacrifices and trample on the interests of the country with all four feet, giving useless decisions not in defense of the republic, but in favor of the arsonists.
